Job Description
The Machinist position operates large CNC boring bar machines to produce parts to blueprint specification, meeting production schedules and quality standards. The role involves setup, operating machines, reading drawings, performing inspections, and maintaining a safe workplace. This position requires adherence to safety procedures and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Set-up and operate assigned classification machines.
- Load tapes and edit CNC programs.
- Read and follow process sheets and drawings.
- Operate small hand and power tools.
- Inspect and mark materials.
- Perform random quality inspections.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping.
- Read dimensions or mini process sheets.
- Ensure parts and materials are properly identified.
- Perform job functions in a safe manner.
