Volunteer - Ward Companion - Dumfries & Galloway

Marie Curie is seeking volunteers to provide companionship and support to individuals nearing the end of life. Volunteers will offer emotional support, conversation, and assistance with practical tasks, helping people express themselves and feel comfortable during a difficult time. Training and ongoing support will be provided.

Requirements

• A good listener with a kind, open heart
• Non-judgemental and friendly
• Emotionally steady in sensitive moments
• Comfortable using email and completing a short visit report
• Willingness to meet 18+ year old, complete online application and provide references
