Volunteer - Ward Companion - Glasgow & Clyde

Marie Curie is looking for a volunteer to provide companionship and emotional support to someone in their last days of life. The role involves sharing stories, playing music, offering conversation, and assisting with family members or carers. Volunteers will receive full training and ongoing support, offering a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of others.

Requirements

• Good listener with a kind, open heart
• Non-judgemental and friendly
• Emotionally steady in sensitive moments
• Comfortable using email and completing a short visit report
• 18 years old (or younger with parental consent)
• Two non-family references
