Senior Thermal Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior Thermal Engineer, you will play a critical role in advancing Coilmaster's heat exchanger technology and the engineering tools that support our products. This position sits at the intersection of thermal engineering, product development, and software-enabled modeling.

What You Will Do

Lead thermal design and performance analysis of fin-and-tube heat exchangers for HVAC and refrigeration applications, develop and maintain physics-based thermal performance models, and partner with software teams to integrate and test engineering models.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of experience in heat transfer, HVAC, refrigeration, or thermal systems design
• Strong expertise in heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics
• Direct experience with heat exchanger design and performance modeling
• Proven programming experience using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools
• Experience validating models using laboratory or field performance data
• Understanding of fin-and-tube manufacturing processes
• Ability to evaluate tradeoffs between performance, cost, manufacturability, and reliability
• Experience with engineering software, selection tools, or simulation platforms
