Job Description
MASS MoCA is seeking a seasonal, on-call Registrar to support installations throughout the museum. The role involves organizing, curating, and installing art, collaborating with a variety of staff, and maintaining safe working spaces. This is a flexible position with availability based on exhibition needs, ranging from a few hours a week to several weeks up to a maximum of 120 days, scheduled on an ad-hoc or on-call basis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Art, Art History or Museum Studies (or equivalent experience)
- One year’s work in gallery or museum registration
- Proficiency in registration standards for living contemporary artists
- Strong communication skills
- Professional consideration for the art in our care
- Knowledge of best practices for artwork packing, crating, and installation
