Job description
The Director of Data Engineering will drive the design and implementation of modern, scalable, and secure data platforms across AWS and Azure. The role involves establishing platform strategy, enforcing governance, and defining best practices across Data Platforms. The Director will collaborate with cross-geography teams of data engineers and platform engineers.
Design and architect end-to-end cloud-native solutions, provide technology leadership, lead DevOps initiatives, set and enforce cloud security best practices, establish data governance frameworks, design and lead implementation of robust data engineering pipelines, and mentor and guide engineers.
The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience in cloud and data platform architecture, DevOps, or related technical roles, with a strong track record of building DevOps pipelines and infrastructure-as-code. The candidate should have a solid understanding of cloud security concepts, IAM design, data encryption, and governance frameworks.
