Materials Handler

The Materials Handler plays a vital role in supporting the Materials & Purchasing department by efficiently managing the flow of materials, parts, and supplies throughout the facility.

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips
• Accurately store materials in designated locations and maintain organized inventory areas
• Perform regular cycle counts and assist with full physical inventories as needed
• Manage receiving and storage of customer parts
• Monitor and restock as needed shop hardware, tooling bins, and shop supplies
• Manage scrap metal disposition
• Issues materials to job utilizing Epicor (ERP) System with vertical storage interface
• Coordinate with the Purchasing team to report material discrepancies or shortages
• Manage shipping supplies and request reorders as needed
• Prepare all necessary documentation for shipping customer systems and spare parts
• Assist in packing, labeling, and staging materials for outbound shipments
• Processes customer spare part shipments (sales orders) through the Epicor system, and packages them for shipment
• Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company safety standards
