Job Description
McElhanney is looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our dynamic Western Canada operations. The successful candidate will work on a wide variety of exciting projects, including building systems and roadway lighting, traffic signals, controls, and land development. We value collaboration, adaptability, and a shared commitment to excellence.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering
- Project experience across commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial buildings
- Experience in power distribution, communications, lighting, lighting controls, life-safety (fire alarm, emergency lighting, and exit signs), and security systems
- Registered or eligible for registration with EGBC as an EIT/P.Eng. in British Columbia
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills including strong communication and collaboration
- Keen to learn new skills and take ownership of the assigned tasks
- Comfortable in a fully digital environment and motivated to adapt new technologies and processes
