Heavy Machinery Mechanic

Dale Price Opals is a well-established and growing opal mining and processing company seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Machinery Mechanic to maintain and repair a variety of equipment critical to mining operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with heavy machinery, particularly Caterpillar bulldozers, Finlay screening plants, and Komatsu machines.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working on light vehicles and air conditioning systems is essential.
• Heavy-duty mechanical expertise with hands-on repair experience.
• Valid truck licence (suitable for operating a 6-8 ton vehicle) and crane operation certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work autonomously, troubleshoot effectively, and adapt to challenges in a remote environment.
• A strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.
