Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Role Overview

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) reports to the Chief Medical Officer and is responsible for ensuring that the medically related emotional and social needs of patients are met and maintained. The LCSW must be physically present at work during business hours.

What You Will Do

Design and implement clinical pathways, offer short-term therapy, provide direct counseling and therapy, perform consultations, and utilize care-management skills.

Requirements

• Licensed in the state of Georgia as a Licensed Clinicial Social Worker (LCSW)
• Related experience in a medical setting
• Flexibility to deal with frequent schedule interruptions
• Comfortability with short-term therapy
• Experience providing culturally appropriate direct counseling and therapy
• Working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments
• Knowledge of psychopharmacology
• Knowledge of care-management skills and local resources
• Excellent communication, phone etiquette, organizational, and customer service skills
• Excellent consultation skills
• Excellent writing skills and experience with charting/writing notes in medical settings
