Associate Veterinarian (Hospitalist)

MedVet Northern Utah is seeking a Specialty In-Patient Care Associate Veterinarian – (Hospitalist) for our growing 24/7 ER and Specialty hospital. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Specialty Services, assisting in the intake and management of non-critical hospitalized patients.

Requirements

• Developing treatment plans
• Communicating with clients and referral partners
• Maintaining accurate medical records
• Seeing same-day transfers from referring partners
• Overseeing inpatients across the hospital
• Updating clients and referral partners on patient status
• Supporting the ER and surgery with procedures, patient recoveries, records and communication both to clients and referral partners if needed.
• Working with the hospital leadership team to improve workflow and standard operating procedures
• Contributing to the ongoing training of clinical team members
• Acting as a referral partner liaison to strengthen our relationships within the community
