Job Description
Mercy Corps is seeking an On-farm Market Systems Development Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of on-farm market-based interventions in Woldia, Ethiopia. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of conflict dynamics, market fragility, and the specific challenges faced by vulnerable populations.
Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business administration, Agriculture, or related subjects
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in market systems development, private sector engagement, agricultural value chain development, agri-business, or a related field
- Excellent knowledge of Markets Systems Development (M4P) approach and facilitation
- Experience in designing and implementing conflict-sensitive MSD interventions
- Experience working with vulnerable populations and marginalized groups
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and coordination
