Director, Assistant Controller

Metropolis is seeking a Director, Assistant Controller to play a key leadership role in the execution of corporate accounting operations. The Assistant Controller is the executional builder — responsible for standing up core accounting processes, leading the close, and operationalizing the Controller’s vision.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA license
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (GAAP/IFRS) and consolidation experience
• Proven track record of implementing process improvements and leveraging technology/automation
• Hands-on leader who has built close-to-reporting processes in complex environments
• Comfortable with ambiguity and building from ground up
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across cultures and geographies
