- Analyze process flows, product movement, equipment layouts, and operator assignments
- Organize brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams
- Evaluate proposals based on ROI, quality, and safety/ergonomics impact
- Present improvement ideas to management for approval
- Design automation solutions through benchmarking and vendor collaboration
- Research and apply best practices in industrial automation
- Select suppliers using decision-making analysis tools
- Plan and manage projects within defined scope, budget, and timelines
- Lead implementation of automation solutions through production release
- Serve as the primary interface with automation vendors
- Maintain collaboration with process and equipment owners
- Conduct regular meetings with cross-functional teams
- Direct and coordinate engineering activities related to development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices
- Define test conditions and oversee operational, functional, and performance phases
- Analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports for engineering teams
