Job Description
Police Officer performs law enforcement, crime prevention, security and related public safety functions within state controlled property. Protects life, property and enforces rules and regulations of University of Mary Washington.
Requirements
- Knowledge of and experience in the principles and techniques of law enforcement, security, crime detection and prevention, as well as criminal investigation.
- Mandatory certification by the Department of Criminal Justice Services as a Law Enforcement Officer.
- Proficiency with and experience in the use of police equipment relevant to the job; to include the use of carried weapons.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate both orally and in writing, with diverse groups of employees, students and members of the general public;
