Head of Systems

mimic is a deep tech robotics & AI start-up based in Zurich that gives industry workers a helping hand for tedious manual labour tasks. We are looking for a Head of Systems to take ownership of the end-to-end software and systems architecture across our whole stack - from firmware to AI.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing, scaling, and operating production-grade software systems
• Strong system-level thinking across software, infrastructure, and robotics/control
• Hands-on experience with robotics software stacks used in real-world deployments
• Experience making architectural decisions in complex systems
• Comfortability in personally contributing across different domains
• Experience in working with teams of diverse skillsets and aligning technical direction
• Strong understanding of reliability, deployment, and operational excellence
• Fluent in C++ and Python, experience in Linux-based development
• Working knowledge of robotics and control systems
