Job Description
The role of a Senior Software Engineer at Morningstar's Research group involves developing high-quality software aligned with customer needs and business goals, with responsibilities including reviewing application performance, implementing new requirements, documenting solutions, and mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in Python and AWS
- Experience with building REST based APIs using python and framework such as Flask, Django
- Ability to write unit test and integration test cases using pytest
- Experience with DevOps tools (e.g. Splunk, Git, uDeploy, Jenkins, Control-M)
- Experience with Agile software engineering practices
- Experience with back-end XML, relational, and file-based databases (e.g. SQL, Postgres, Redshift, Netezza, HDFS)
- Experience developing and deploying solutions using services in the Amazon AWS ecosystem (Lambda, EC2, RDS, EMR)
- Good to have JAVA experience
