The Mechanic Technician - A role is responsible for expert-level troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, repair, and construction work in the mine to maintain the efficiency and longevity of equipment.

Requirements

• Qualified Journeyman Mechanic with at least 3 years training and experience
• One-year general shop experience and one year in a specialty
• Ability to obtain an appropriate blasting license at the time of hire/qualification and maintain during employment
• Ability to cut and weld on various types of metal, operate mobile equipment, and read and interpret documents
• Ability to repair and troubleshoot diesel engines, belt conveyors, mobile equipment, hydraulic equipment, pumps, and other equipment
