We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mobile machinery in accordance with the maintenance program. The position requires a professional diploma in heavy machinery mechanics or diesel mechanics, good knowledge of hydraulics, and the ability to work at heights.

Requirements

• Perform work required on work orders distributed by their supervisor
• Verify the operation of heavy equipment used for mining and inspect it to detect defects and failures
• Determine the nature of defects and failures, using computerized control equipment and other, to specify the extent of repairs to be performed
• Adjust the equipment and repair or replace defective parts, installations, or elements, using manual or mechanical tools
• Test the repaired equipment to ensure it works well and that the repairs meet the manufacturer's requirements
• Clean and lubricate the equipment and perform other routine maintenance tasks
