Head of Corporate Accounting, Vice President

Join MUFG, where being inspired is expected and making a meaningful impact is rewarded. The Head of Corporate Accounting, Vice President will lead the Corporate Accounting team and be responsible for financial reporting, accounting control, and management of financial accounting processes.

Requirements

• BS/BA or MS/MBA in Accounting required
• 7-10 years of progressive accounting Financial reporting experience in large, complex banking or financial institutions
• Demonstrable leadership experience
• Identifies multiple paths to success using analytical and critical thinking as well as decision-making skills
• Operates strategically to support a culture of continuous improvement and systems thinking
• Makes sound business decisions in a complex work environment
• Collaborates with other business functions and divisions to advance business objectives
• Is flexible, decisive, and able to establish support from leadership
• Strong technical accounting skills, and understanding of US GAAP
• Possess excellent communication skills and comfort interfacing with senior management
• Strong systems and product knowledge, securities industry knowledge a plus
• Proficiency in ERP systems and data analytics platforms
• Experience with Oracle and Broadridge systems preferable
• FINRA Series 99 preferred – can be obtained after joining MUSA
