Job Description
The Assistant Merchandising Manager supports the Chief Merchandising Officer in all aspects of product development, design, and marketing within the Albany Stationary and Accessory product lines. This role involves working with the product development team, conducting market research, attending shows, and collaborating with fabric mills to achieve strategic pricing and design goals. The position requires a strong background in merchandising, communication, and leadership.
Requirements
- Work with the Chief Merchandising Officer in all aspects of development, design, and marketing of new products.
- Assist in the selection of new fabrics and design of new market rolls.
- Attend Interwoven Fabric Shows in High Point, NC and April/October to launch new projects.
- Assist with showroom layout, marketing, sales support materials, and room scene photography.
- Create fabric combinations for price points and meet margin requirements.
- Experience in product design and merchandising.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
