School Nurse (12-Month / Year-Round Position)

New Canaan Country School is seeking a School Nurse to support and enhance the educational mission of the school by promoting, protecting, and improving the health and well-being of students and the broader school community.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
• Registered Nurse as defined by Section 20-87a of the Connecticut General Statutes
• Valid and current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of three (3) years of Registered Nurse experience within the past five years
• Current CPR / First Aid / AED certification (Professional Rescuer level)
• Concussion awareness and concussion management training
• Working knowledge of medical equipment and basic pharmacology
• Demonstrated ability to assess emergency situations and respond appropriately
• Proficiency in professional nursing documentation, including electronic health records (EHR/EMR)
• Strong computer skills, including EMR systems, productivity software, and Google Workspace
