Job Description
The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to coordinate and perform technical studies related to the interconnection of proposed new generation, transmission, and load facilities to the New York State transmission system.
Requirements
- Reviews proposed project facilities including conceptual design for interconnection to NYS transmission system and associated modeling data
- Prepares and/or reviews base cases for interconnection studies
- Provides technical coordination with others involved in interconnection studies
- Performs or reviews technical analysis for interconnection studies
- Evaluates and identifies system upgrade facilities and/or system deliverability upgrades required for proposed projects
