Job Description
NYLAG is seeking a Temporary Staff Attorney to work on employment law cases for a period of 6 months. The Temporary Attorney will handle a former attorney's case load, engage with clients, and provide further representation as needed.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school
- One to five years of employment law experience
- Demonstrated commitment to public interest law and social justice
- Experience handling Unemployment Insurance Appeals
- Experience handling NYS Division of Human Rights Appeals
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to respond promptly to high volume communications
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently
