Intern, AI Engineer (3 Months, Full-Time)

Join Nextiva's AI Operations team for a 3-month full-time internship focused on deploying generative AI and agentic AI to accelerate internal processes. As an AI Engineer Intern, you will build and deploy lightweight AI agents and automations, prototype integrations, and generate weekly dashboards summarizing impact and insights.

Requirements

• Rising senior or master's student in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Demonstrated scrappiness (startup, hackathon, or side-project experience)
• Familiarity with GenAI, APIs, prompting, and coding (Python, React)
• Experience with OpenAI ChatGPT and CustomGPTs, Anthropic Claude and Claude Code, and other AI models
• Analytical mind-set; able to quantify impact and iterate fast
• Highly organized, action-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple projects
• Strong communicator who collaborates well across functions
