Role Overview

Join Nortal's team as an experienced AI Engineer to work on meaningful, impactful projects, grow your skills, and teach others. You'll have the opportunity to work on AI-powered features, design and implement RAG pipelines, and collaborate with client-side IT teams.

What You Will Do

Build and ship AI-powered features, design and implement RAG pipelines, implement AI guardrails, write solid backend code, and collaborate with client-side IT teams.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must-have: strong software engineering background, full-stack delivery capability, hands-on experience delivering AI features, and working knowledge of RAG architectures. Nice to have: AI platform certification, understanding of AI security, and experience designing AI features with cost awareness.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background (senior/principal level) with deep backend expertise
• Full-stack delivery capability
• Hands-on experience delivering AI features in client or product projects
• Working knowledge of RAG architectures, prompt engineering, agent tools, and MCP
• Familiarity with knowledge graphs and retrieval systems
• Experience building evaluation frameworks for AI features
• Proficiency in AI-assisted development: context engineering, spec-driven development, and frameworks like BMAD or Speckit
• Experience with containerisation (Docker) and cloud-native deployment
• Ability to make technical decisions independently and communicate them clearly
• Fluent English

Benefits

• Salary range: 5000 – 6250 EUR gross for Senior Level position, 6250 – 7500 EUR gross for Principal Level position
