Job Description
The Correction Officer responsibilities include maintaining control of the institution to provide for safety and security of the facility, inmates, staff, and general public by enforcing rules/regulations/policies and procedures. The position also includes supervising and directing inmate activity, monitoring and operating security controls, and operating automotive vehicles.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid driver's license for positions assigned to transportation section
- Commercial driver's license to drive vehicles qualifying as commercial
- Correction officer assessment or successful completion of assessment within past 24 months
- Probationary period is 365 days
