Job Description
The Fitter/Welder II is responsible for welding and fitting jobs, ensuring proper weld procedures are followed, and completing jobs on time. This role reports to a team lead and often works with manufacturing and requires the operator to read blueprints and use shop equipment safely.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 1 – 3 yrs of experience with welding in a fabrication department
- Proficiency in SMAW and GMAW welding processes
- Understanding of fabrication blueprints
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other applications
- Ability to pass a drug screen & background check
- Ability to follow company policies and safety measures
