MAINTENANCE MECHANIC I - 2ND SHIFT (395)

Installs, operates, maintains, repairs, lubricates, and troubleshoots complex processing and high-speed packaging machinery and other equipment in the facility.

Requirements

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs, lubricates, and troubleshoots complex processing and high-speed packaging machinery and other equipment in the facility
• Performs predictive and preventative maintenance activities as outlined in the CMMS system
• Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots all types of A/C and D/C electrical equipment
• Fabricates components using standard shop equipment including: lathe, mill, drill press, brake, shear, band saw, and various welding equipment
• Operates production equipment as part of troubleshooting, and validation of completed maintenance activity
• Assists Engineering in installation of new equipment
• Works with technical support, the operations group, and peer mechanics to resolve problematic machine or personnel issues
• Helps maintain spare parts inventory for plant as directed by checking out parts form parts room, using parts ordering procedure, and restocking inventory
• Helps maintain shop areas and parts room so they are clean and orderly
• Actively participates in root cause analysis and other plant continuous improvement initiatives
• Recommends and implements continuous improvement ideas
• Occasionally performs work in other areas such as building maintenance
• Complies with safety and cGMP requirements
