Responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective technical management of assigned vessels. Oversees maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, and ensures compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, Nautical Science, Logistics, or related discipline
- Relevant certifications, such as STCW, ISM/ISPS compliance, and OPITO-approved training
- Strong knowledge of oil and gas marine logistics, including vessel types (e.g., PSVs, AHTS, FPSOs)
- Familiarity with Nigerian maritime laws and offshore operations in the Gulf of Guinea
- Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in vessel technical management, with at least 2 years in a superintendent or equivalent shore-based role
- Experience with dry-docking, repair planning, and project supervision
- Familiarity with ISM Code, Class Rules, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other maritime regulations
