Automation Pharmacy Technician 4 (IV Compounding)

The Automation Pharmacy Technician 4 will be responsible for maintaining all unit-dose medications required for daily dispensing from the Omnicell automated IV equipment.

Requirements

• Perform IV automation tasks in an aseptic, error-free manner, consistent with prescribed guidelines.
• Perform IV automation equipment cleaning and maintenance.
• Follow Safe Handling of Hazardous Drugs procedures when handling medications.
• Identify and order medications to ensure medication inventories are at optimal levels.
• Monitor and order consumable supplies required for the operation of the equipment.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and prescribed maintenance of IV automation equipment and report unresolved equipment issues to the IV HD.
• Maintain high levels of communication with pharmacy services manager and customer, to ensure proactive, solution-oriented problem identification and resolution.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by aligning the Pharmacy Services Program to provide customer-focused support emphasizing quality, professionalism, and responsiveness, by acting as liaison between OMCL and customer to assist with customer concerns.
• Comply with IV Compounding procedures, policies, and guidelines established by the Customer facility.
• Complete negative fingertip and media fill sampling.
• Maintain state and/or national credentialing to meet established guidelines.
