Engineering Director at Software Co. (Hybrid, Metro Manila)

We are looking for a passionate Engineering Director for the Philippines to work in a hybrid setup for our US-based client. The role involves overseeing multiple software development projects and engineering teams, guiding technical architecture, and promoting growth among team members.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 2+ years in engineering leadership roles, including direct people management
• Deep understanding of modern software engineering best practices and system architecture
• Proven ability to architect modular, testable, scalable, and secure systems
• Familiar with setting up productive development environments and workflows
• Proficiency with React and React Native
• Familiarity with Python for backend development
• Comfort using Generative AI tools to boost engineering productivity
• Ability to mentor engineers and technical leads, set clear expectations, and foster accountability
• Strong client communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Prior experience working in startup environments, understanding the pace and ambiguity involved
