Associate Power Systems Developer

We are seeking an Associate Power Systems Developer to join our multi-disciplinary team. As a key member, you will design, develop, and test software applications used in the power systems industry. You will analyze customer requirements, develop software application designs, and maintain existing power system software applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, BSEE with Power Systems Emphasis, Mathematics or related technical field
• Understanding of power systems concepts in generation, transmission, distribution, distributed energy resources (DER)/DER integration and/or outage management
• Proficiency with analytical tools, e.g., MATLAB, PSLF, CYME, PowerWorld or other similar tools
• Exposure to Transient Switching studies using EMTP/EMTDC/PSCAD or equivalent software
• Proficiency in C, C++ and/or C# coding (school or work setting)
• Advanced degree (MS, PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering with Power Systems Emphasis, Mathematics or related technical field (optional)
• Demonstrated understanding/application of knowledge in areas of power flow, state estimation, DER control and network optimization (optional)
• Knowledge of high voltage Electrical Power Systems (optional)
• Experience developing software in a commercial setting using C, C++ and/or C# (optional)
