Forward Deployed Security Engineer

As a Forward Deployed Security Engineer at OpenAI, you will be responsible for securing novel applications of our technology in the public sector. You will embed with our customers, design and implement security controls, and collaborate with teams to achieve security and compliance goals.

Requirements

• Active US security clearance
• 5+ years of security engineering experience
• Familiarity with deployment models, including cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and infrastructure primitives (Kubernetes, Terraform)
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Golang, or similar
• Comprehensive knowledge of modern adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a cross-functional team environment
• Thriving in dynamic environments and navigating ambiguity with ease
