Job Description
OpenAI is seeking a Principal-level Offensive Security Engineer to strengthen its security posture. This role focuses on actively driving vulnerability mitigation and strategic security improvements, primarily testing hardware products and services with cutting-edge technologies. The engineer will collaborate with engineering teams and will also shape the company’s security strategy by providing attacker-driven insights.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience or exceptional accomplishments.
- Exceptional skill in code review and reverse engineering.
- Demonstrated mastery assessing complex technology stacks.
- Solid programming skills in C/C++, Python, or assembly.
- Industry experience securing consumer hardware.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of trust boundaries and risk assessment.
- Excellent coding skills and automation capabilities.
- Proven track record of finding vulnerabilities and contributing to solutions.
