Linux Systems Engineer

Optiver is a global market maker founded in Amsterdam, with offices in multiple locations. The Optiver Linux Systems Engineering Team ensures our trading servers work so we can trade. We are looking for a Systems Engineer with experience in designing, deploying and supporting large scale Linux/Unix server environments.

Requirements

• A Systems Engineer with Experience in designing, deploying and supporting large scale Linux/Unix server environments
• Good knowledge of Linux Kernel internals
• Solid coding skills in Python
• Experience within a high-performance computer environment where the result matters
• Infrastructure-as-Code with an Ansible flavor
• Knowledge of virtualization and networking
• A proactive approach to problem solving
• Ability to clearly explain thoughts through written and verbal communication
• Will to seek out opportunities to leave comfort zone and enjoy frequent change
