Senior Blasting Technician

Orica is seeking a Senior Blasting Technician to work on the Snowy 2.0 project. The successful candidate will lead and manage technical blasting projects, collaborate with customers, and provide ongoing technical support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on shotfiring and/or Blasting Technical Services experience
• Degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline (Technical Services Engineering)
• Solid understanding of underground mining operations and drill & blast processes
• Experience with Orica's i-kon blasting system
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team
• A proactive mindset focused on delivering value and continuous improvement
• Strong sense of accountability and customer partnership
• Eligibility to obtain a national police clearance
