JPMC is seeking a Lead Java Developer to join their team in Bangalore. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Java-based APIs and microservices, collaborating with stakeholders to define technical solutions, and mentoring a backend development team. Prior experience in financial or enterprise domains is highly desirable.

Requirements

• Minimum 10–14 years of hands-on experience in Java development
• Strong expertise in API design and microservices architecture
• Proven ability to lead backend teams and deliver enterprise-scale solutions
• Prior experience in financial or enterprise domains is highly desirable
• Strong hands-on experience in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security
• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs using JSON/XML with Swagger/OpenAPI documentation
• Expertise in API security protocols including OAuth2, JWT, and integration with API gateways
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases – PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis
• Skilled in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Maven/Gradle, and deployment automation
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies
• Prior experience in payments, banking, or financial services domains
• Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and API governance best practices
