Pike Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Engineer 3 to provide substation protection and control design, engineering, technical support, and oversight to a transmission substation. The role involves leading work for projects like battery energy storage systems and solar collector substations, performing charge engineering duties, and managing project schedules and budgets. Collaboration with design disciplines, construction contractors, and client is expected.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years’ experience as a practicing engineer
- Bachelor’s degree from an EAC/ABET accredited Engineering Program OR an approved evaluation of non-ABET credentials by NCEES OR graduation from a Master’s or Doctoral Program in Engineering from an institution with EAC/ABET accredited Undergraduate Engineering Programs
- Licensed Professional Engineer or the ability to be licensed within one year
- Proficient in principles of project management
- Ability to read, interpret, design, and engineer P&C designs for utility stations
- Ability to perform studies and create reports for coordination, voltage drop, fault current, and insulation coordination
