Job Description
As a Senior Logistics Officer, you will be responsible for freight rate management, booking and shipment coordination, customer communication, export planning and tracking, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Collect and consolidate monthly freight rates from approved shipping lines and freight forwarders
- Maintain an updated database of approved freight rates by destination, carrier, and service type
- Book containers and shipping space based on the approved lowest competitive rates
- Monitor vessel schedules and proactively manage changes, rollovers, or space constraints
- Submit all pre and post shipment information to customers
- Act as the main operational contact point for export customers
- Update and maintain the monthly export tracking report
- Attend weekly coordination meetings with key customers
- Aware of ERP System (SAP S4/HANA) & Microsoft Office
- Must have previous experience in dealing with shipping lines and free zones
