Job Description
This Traffic Studies Engineer, PE - Roads and Drainage division is seeking a leader to implement and refine traffic signal timing plans for Polk County. The role involves managing traffic signal operations, customer/public engagement, engineering oversight, data collection, and street lighting programming. The position oversees the Traffic Section and provides leadership to maintain operational continuity, ensuring efficient traffic flow and customer safety.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited four (4) year college or university with major course work in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of five (5) years civil engineering experience, with three (3) years in traffic engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer license in the State of Florida
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to perform physical and cognitive tasks.
