Senior Backend Engineer, Cloud Platform

Postman is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build core systems and services that power its internal platform, leveraging Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native technologies. The role is highly impactful, enabling faster delivery, better scalability, and a stronger developer experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate (JPA)
• Proven experience designing and maintaining APIs and distributed backend services
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Argo, Istio, and Terraform
• Strong understanding of software design principles (scalability, extensibility, resilience)
• Experience with build and testing tools (Gradle, Maven, JUnit)
• Proficiency with Git and Gitflow workflows
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Strong security mindset and awareness of compliance frameworks
