Job Description
The Fire Alarm Systems Associate Designer is responsible for reviewing original layouts and drawings, interpreting them for project requirements and code compliance, and providing technical assistance for multiple projects during bidding, design, permitting, and construction.
Requirements
- Three (3) or more years of experience with fire alarm system design
- Experience with fire alarm equipment and installation, as well as some fire alarm design fundamentals
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction-related field preferred
- NICET certification
- Knowledge of local codes and construction safety requirements (including IBC and IECC)
- AutoCAD/Revit experience and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
