Job Description
The Mechanical Designer at Power Design is responsible for designing mechanical and plumbing systems for large-scale projects. They will work on HVAC load and plumbing flow calculations, equipment selections, and ductwork and piping layouts.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical/plumbing design
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Working knowledge of constructability and design fundamentals
- Experience with VRV, WSHP and DX Split systems
- CADD/Revit experience
- Knowledge of mechanical and plumbing codes (IPC, IMC, IBC, ASHRAE)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals and specifications
- Experience with HVAC load calculations using Trane Trace or similar programs
