Job Description
The plumbing designer at Power Design is responsible for designing complex plumbing systems on large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in plumbing design, knowledge of constructability and design fundamentals, and proficiency in Revit.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant plumbing design experience
- Working knowledge of constructability and strong design fundamentals for mechanical, plumbing systems and installation methods
- Experience sizing water heaters, sump pumps, sewage ejectors, domestic hot water plants
- Revit experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferred
- Detailed knowledge of mechanical and plumbing codes (IPC, IMC, IBC, ASHRAE)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals/specifications
- Knowledge of plumbing domestic water, storm, and sanitary calculations, as well as experience in pipe sizing, layout and design for plumbing systems
