Job Description
PRIME is seeking a Senior Estimator to independently analyze blueprints, proposals, and documentation to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates for projects. This role involves managing junior estimators, providing guidance and training, and utilizing technology like BlueBeam, Accubid, and LiveCount. The Senior Estimator will contribute to value engineering exercises and ensure adherence to safety programs, while maintaining a physical presence onsite to support project teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university and five to seven years related experience
- Experience evaluating and estimating design/build contract work
- Ability to train and educate others on estimating procedures and software
- Advanced knowledge of structural, architectural and mechanical documents
- Advanced Knowledge of NEC, local codes and construction methods
- Advanced Knowledge of Electrical Materials and their applications
- Knowledge of and experience with Accubid and LiveCount
- Strong organizational, prioritization, multi-tasking and communication skills
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with preparing, completing, explaining, and reviewing complex estimates
- Experience with delivery models: Plan & Spec, Design-Assist, and Design-Build
- Ability to grasp and follow existing estimating process and procedures
- Experience with the appropriate application of a wide variety of electrical materials and methods of installation
