The Patient Service Representative is responsible for providing patient interactions and functions, patient scheduling and logistics, daily workflows, and revenue cycle claim scrubbing and missing slip completion. The role involves scheduling and registering patients, verifying insurance information, and providing upfront financial counseling services.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- 2+ Years experience in a patient facing healthcare function or other customer service function
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
- Bi-Lingual a plus
- Critical thinking, analytical, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and customer service skills
- Mathematical and cash management skills
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with physicians, co-workers, and patients of all ages
- Ability to work as an integral team member under minimal supervision, in a fast-paced, complex environment
- Computer literate and ability to use multiple systems and acquire proficiency in multiple electronic systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
