Platform Engineer

QuantumScape is hiring a Platform Engineer to build and operate the core platform that accelerates software teams and the greater organization. The engineer will support in-house developers with reliable tooling and self-service, manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, and drive operational excellence across DevOps, FinOps, and SecOps.

Requirements

• Design, build, and operate the internal developer platform and self-service tooling
• Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Run infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform) to provision, secure, and scale cloud and Kubernetes environments
• Implement and operate observability: metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting
• Harden platforms and manage risk: implement security baselines and vulnerability management (SecOps) and optimize cloud spend with cost guardrails and reporting (FinOps)
