AI Engineer

Role Overview

We're looking for an AI Engineer to design, build, deploy and improve LLM-centric and agentic AI systems. You'll work independently with a high-calibre AI and technology team to shape and deliver RACV's AI platforms, software and infrastructure.

What You Will Do

As an AI Engineer, you'll deliver production-grade AI solutions, including building, deploying and maintaining AI-enabled applications, services and APIs, and designing and implementing LLM systems.

Requirements

• 3–5 years' experience in software engineering with a strong focus on AI and LLM technologies
• Hands-on experience building production systems using foundation models, RAG and agentic patterns
• Experience with agent frameworks such as LlamaIndex, LangGraph or PydanticAI (or equivalent)
• Practical experience running LLM evals (e.g. RAGAS, promptfoo or custom harnesses)
• Strong prompt and context engineering capability for production workloads
• Production-level Python and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience with APIs, microservices, CI/CD and container platforms
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Applied understanding of responsible AI, AI ethics and AI-specific security risks
