Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Staff Accountant is a mid-level, highly technical accounting professional who works with the Staff Accountant and the Controller to perform bank transactions, financial analysis, complex accounting and reconciliations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- Three to five years’ experience in general ledger accounting, accounts reconciliation and analysis
- Ability to read and analyze financial reports
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), practices and procedures
- Computerized programs including MS Office Suite, with a strong proficiency in MS Excel
- Ability to develop complex spreadsheets and update databases to perform audit analysis
- Establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relations with other Departments and cross-functional teams
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Maintain utmost confidentiality with a high level of personal and professional conduct
- Must be able to work independently
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity and an ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations
